The Institute of Medicine of Chicago (IOMC) is excited for Leaders to come together with John Jay Shannon, MD, Chief Executive Officer, of the Cook County Health (CCH) on Thursday, November 8, 2018. This Breakfast is an opportunity to convene local leaders, IOMC Fellows and members, and aspiring health professionals to discuss with Dr. Shannon the successes and challenges to improve the wellbeing of Chicago.

Since 2014 under Dr. Shannon’s leadership, CCH has transformed with innovative and integrative approaches to fulfill the system’s mission. CCH aligned its role as a provider of care, both in traditional and correctional settings, a public health authority, and a health plan. In addition to fulfilling the health system’s mission to protect the health of all Cook County residents, he demonstrates  being a good steward of taxpayer funds.
